Acting was very well done. The audio was exceptionally clear with realistic sound effects. Simenon is one of my favorite mystery writers and Maigret a most interesting character from Paris in the 1950's. He understands and sympathizes with the human condition. There is charm and a little humor in the relationship with his wife who never knows when his police detective work will suddenly interfere with their personal plans. This radio series uniquely was able to reproduce for me the same atmosphere I felt in reading the books.
