Angry Old Men
Angry Old Men is a superb radio play that grows out of "The Burkiss Way," co-written by David Renwick and Andrew Marshall. The story revolves around four comedians and their attractive female sidekick, who broke new ground in the Fifties and Sixties with their madcap antics and bold humor.
Now, as they age, they find themselves in a tangled web of chaos, including a murder among them. Renwick impressively captures the essence of the humor from that era, showcasing how formulaic anarchic comedy can be. The play is loosely based on the styles of Monty Python, Beyond The Fringe, and The Goons.
