Pocket City Blues follows Horton Spring, a 45-year-old freelance writer and amateur detective, as he navigates the challenges of life in Victoria, British Columbia. With a knack for getting involved in mysteries, Horton finds himself entangled in various cases that test his skills and resolve.
This series features four intriguing episodes: In "When Things Go Wrong," the family's belongings are lost in a suspicious fire, leading to secrets being uncovered. "The Double Door" draws Horton into the mystery of a dead man found in a van. In "Rose Violin," Horton champions a young jazz singer, but his interest raises eyebrows. Finally, in "Woke Up This Morning," a chance encounter in a bar leads to unexpected revelations.
