The Montrose Ghost is a captivating tale set in the spring of 1915, where a ghost haunts the Royal Flying Corps Station in Montrose, Scotland. The mystery of its appearance is known only to Desmond Little, who understands the price that must be paid for its presence.

This production, directed by Gerry Jones, features a talented cast including John Pullen as Capt Little, Christopher Neame as Lt Adam, and Rosalind Shanks as Sylvia, among others. The story is based on a short story of the same title by Harold Balfour, Lord Balfour of Inchrye.

Originally broadcast on June 12, 1976, at 20:30 on BBC Radio 4 FM, this episode of Saturday-Night Theatre brings to life the eerie atmosphere of RAF Montrose, the first operational military aerodrome in the UK.
