My thanks,

Sincere thanks for the tip; archive has an incredible amount of quite excellent content which, can take an age to trawl through, as a consequence getting a recommendation is always worth checking out. Once finished with Becker I shall definitely check out your recommendation; after all, if it’s written in a similar way to the lovely Agatha Christie, then surely it has to be good. P.S. apologies for both poor grammar and typos in my op, not to mention misspelling the eponymous ‘Becker!’ 🙄
Thank you for your excellent review!

Your comment is much appreciated. Might I suggest this very different series if you haven't found it yet: Recipe for Murder https://archive.org/details/recipe-for-murder Eight mystery stories a co-production of CBC Radio and ZBS. The stories are rather congenial, like an Agatha Christie BBC mystery, a lot of fascinating and slightly eccentric characters, wonderful dialogue, an occasional body, with a gentle humor throughout. The hero, Jean-Claude, is a young sous-chef living in Montréal. In the first episode, It's my favorite!~ W
