5 Julian Simpson - Fugue State
5 Julian Simpson: Fugue State A man in a fugue state holds the key to strange events reported in a remote village. Can he be unlocked using sound recordings? Scientific Advisor: Paul Fletcher Cast: Nicola Walker (Doctor Fallon) Steven Mackintosh (Patient) Tim McInnerny (Johnson) Ferdinand Kingsley (Simon Phoebe Fox (Polly/Cyclist) Ben Crowe (Driver/Butler/Pilot/Barman) Broadcast Assistant: Sarah Tombling Sound Engineer: David Thomas Producer: Karen Rose Director: Julian Simpson In the heart of the English countryside in a specialist residential hospital, a man – a government agent – is in a fugue state. We learn the fugue state is the result of something strange and potentially harmful that has taken place in a remote village. Needing to act before the situation escalates and believing the patient can still hear, Doctor Fallon uses sound recordings to recreate events leading up to the point of shut-down, to prompt the patient’s brain into remembering what has happened. First Broadcast: Fugue State Thursday 29th October 2015 at 14:15 on BBC Radio 4
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
