Magic Whistle Radio Hour 102
Magic Whistle
Things I've collected over the years or acquired on mixtapes and comps or gathered from the internet or the library or my parents' attic. I make no claims to "discovering" or "owning" anything. Probably neither do you. It's whatever I feel like playing that week. Things that may or may not be familiar. Who knows. Past weeks here too. Just type "Magic Whistle Radio Hour" in the search engine. Here's the pertinent information: 0:00 THE SPARK PLUGS- Chicken 1:58 ROCKY DAVIS- Hot Rod Baby (1959) 4:59 DEBBIE DEAN- Don't Let Him Shop Around (1961) 7:37 DEEP RIVER BOYS- I En Grönmålad Båt 10:03 GLENN BARBER- Ice Water (1954) 12:29 ROBERTA SHORE- Shaggy Dog from The Shaggy Dog , 1959 14:31 DODIE STEVENS- Pink Shoe Laces 16:59 DON LANG & HIS FRANTIC FIVE- Six-Five Hand-Jive 19:50 KAY-DOLL SISTERS & JOMAIL TRIO- Square Dance In the Park (1964) 22:08 DOREEN DAVIS & BOBBY LYONS- Punch Line (1960) 26:02 DOREEN BEATTY- That's My Weakness Now 28:25 DR. I can't do a line-item veto. Think of it like a friend you like hanging out with 95% of the time but once in a while they embarrass you. My own attitude is to move forward. The songs are different, not ones with a lot of play time on the radio, the one song is about a guy who dreamed he was a BEATLE 😂another one is a joke about politics ( very well done 👍🏼
