the genius of B&R

Down the Byways' "Small Town Grouch" may be the most significant, as well as the most enjoyable skit here. It's a perfect example of how the two could take an observation of everyday things (or people-types in this case) and expand it into a piece with hilarious, colorful insight into human nature. Their genius includes even making fun of Farley Gerard repeatedly bringing this premise to the listener's attention, while grouch Merle Boggins demonstrates technique with kid passersby, followed by evil chuckles. That's just plain funny.
