it was interesting to listen to it was really enjoyable and a note:i think it should just be annie colman reading all of the story because i could understand her voice and some other people i could not hear proply because of there voice was all squeeky and scratchy.

Lovely continuation of Anne's story

Anne of Avonlea continues the story of Anne Shirley of Green Gables Fame. We see Anne a bit older (17), spending two years at home in Avonlea with a familiar cast of friends and several new local "characters". This is the original group recording from Librivox. The readers, including Annie Coleman and Betsy Bush, all do an excellent job. This is the first time I have heard Kymm Zuckert read -- she breathes life into the characters by the way she reads - no funny voices here. And she simply shines when it comes to the dialog between crusty old Marilla and an excited an irrepressible Davy. Librivox also has a solo reading of this book by Karen Savage at http://librivox.org/anne-of-avonlea-by-lucy-maud-montgomery-2/

As someone who is visually impaired i listen to many, many, many audio books. This one was wonderful and despite the fact that the readers switched from chapter to chapter it was read well and the recordings were well organized and labeled. Nothing missing or in the wrong place. :) perfect for a bed time story or something to listen to while you clean up the house.

Wonderful Book!

This is such a lovely book. I was pleased with most of the readers though I found it a bit disconcerting to change from one to the other. Still I enjoyed the book very much!

Wonderful

A wonderful sequel to a perfect book. Often, the second of a series is not as good as the first, but this does justice to Anne of Green Gables

Love this!

Of course, the first book was better, but this was very good, surprisingly! The voices were not bad. ;)
