Grand Ole Opry OTR-3
The Grand Ole Opry started as the WSM Barn Dance in the new fifth-floor radio station studio of the National Life & Accident Insurance Company in downtown Nashville, Tennessee on November 28, 1925. It featured various bands, including the Possum Hunters and the Fruit Jar Drinkers, and became a platform for many famous musicians.
Over the years, the Opry moved to several venues, including the Ryman Auditorium, where it broadcasted from 1943 until 1974. The show has a rich history of showcasing top-charting country music acts and continues to be a beloved institution in American music.

These shows still sound fresh nearly 70 years after they were first broadcast! Some of the transcriptions have minor defects (due in part to age), but overall the sound quality is better than what you would have heard over the air when the programs were originally aired. These are the legends and their contemporaries in their prime, when the music was still fresh and newly (or soon to be) released. Listen and be amazed!
