Catriona
Robert Louis Stevenson
Read by Wayne Cooke
This is a sequel to Kidnapped. Many thought Kidnapped ended quite abruptly. The reason is Stevenson planned on writing a sequel. Catriona takes up the story of David Balfour on the same day Kidnapped ends. He must now try to clear his name and the name of James Stewart of the Appin murder. This will not be easy because the Campbells want James Stewart to hang.
"Catriona: Being Memoirs of the Further Adventures of David Balfour at Home and Abroad, in which are set forth his misfortunes anent the Appin Murder, his troubles with Lord Advocate Grant: captivity on the Bass Rock, Journey into Holland and France, and singular relations with James More Drummond or MacGregor, a son of the notorious Rob Roy, and his daughter Catriona: written by himself, and now set forth by Robert Louis Stevenson." (Summary by Wayne Cooke and from the title page) (11 hr 4 min)

Reviews
Catriona
AVID READER
Good story, but only if you have read the first one. I hope Davey enjoyed his bipolar wife.
Santhosh Varghese
Excellent book, some may not hold it in such high regard as the first book, but in my heart I love this story as much as the first. True it does not have the adventurism of Kidnapped, but it is just as special in its own way, delving more into relationships between the characters
Great reader, fair story.
Paul Busman
I didn't care for this nearly as much as I did Kidnapped. Too much soap opera romance. I found the title character exasperating and, if I had been Davey, I would have quitted her early on. The reader made the best of what he had to work with
Strange yet a good sequel
David Tucker
Very different from the first entry, but rightly so. A bit dramatic at parts, but overall a great little second book to finish a story.
not as interesting as kidnapped
Monica Underwood
we loved kidnapped but found this book to be a lot less exciting. the reader is good with the exception of female voices.
Andrea G Graddy
my heart is singing with gratitude for your reading that I would have never had the opportunity if not for you. Thank you.
Good story
Howard Stidwill
A bit difficult to understand at times. Narrator makes too many mistakes and pronunciations.
Wonderful rendition of a delightful book
