The second half is better

(3 stars)

A good translation of Epictetus' aphorisms. Katie Gibboney's reading is great, very paused, didactic and well recorded. Doug Witzel also does a good job. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the first readers. I feel like I only had half the experience of the entire text.

good book well read

(5 stars)

I listened to this a while ago, it was pretty nice. If you like a saying, you can with some effort very likely find it in an edition of Epictetus’s discourses.

A must read for people who are self improvement fanatics

(5 stars)

I was really an adventurous experience listening to the audio book. I really acquired lots of lessons from Epictetus the Stoic.

Poorly read and skipped aphorisms

(2 stars)

The book should be read by all. These audio readings are mostly very poor. Some of the readers missed entire aphorisms and counted them incorrectly.

Amazing Book
