The Sinking of the ''Merrimac''
Richmond Pearson Hobson
Read by Delmar H Dolbier
During the Spanish-American War, Naval Constructor Hobson U.S.N. devised a plan to scuttle a ship in the channel leading to Santiago harbor in Cuba and thus bottle up the Spanish fleet at anchor in the bay. This book contains Hobson's personal narrative of how the scheme was carried out and of what happened afterward. ( Delmar H. Dolbier) (5 hr 19 min)

Another good book read by this reader. I also went online to read more of this war and was able to find photos of the ships and men involved as well as information on the broader picture of the war. All this additional information made this reading much more interesting and educational.
Entertaining listen.
