The Stoneground Ghost Tales is a collection of nine short stories set in and around a church and parish on the edge of England's fen country. The protagonist, the Rector of Stoneground, the Reverend Roland Batchel, is a kindly, humane bachelor and amateur antiquarian, very much like Swain himself. Third listen-Great Stories

(5 stars)

Wonderful stand-alone stories about a clergyman who experiences the super natural. They are “pleasant” ghost stories (not horrific) and I wouldn’t mind sharing them with school-age children.

not scary, but highly enjoyable

All readers do a great job, but be ready to adjust volume (and sometimes playback speed) when readers change.
