If our memory is the thing that shapes and defines us, that informs who we are at our very core, then God help us all...for memory, is a wicked and deceitful wretch.

Thrust into a search for his own sister's killer, Benjamin Cady flees Colorado and the only world he understands to scour the streets of Los Angeles, plagued by headaches and memories of murder. He quickly discovers that L.A. is not unknown to him, and as his memories of his sister's death become clearer, so does the possibility that Ben himself may be the murderer.

Lieutenant Jim Banquer has plenty of bodies, but every witness seems to be suffering from a mysterious form of amnesia. Investigating these deaths means he must piece together the scattered shards of a deadly power scheme that goes well beyond murder, and Ben is the key.

Sense Memory is a psychological thriller that weaves an intricate web of doubt and intrigue as it goes, leaving no thread unstrung. A sure page-burner, this story will stay with you long after the smoke clears.

If you are reading this in an effort to gauge if this book is worth listening to, I ask you to listen to the first part. See if you can figure out what is going on. Ask yourself questions. if you have no question to ask then you most likely won't enjoy this. If you have even one... keep going. I found it very worth it. I found the audio quality decent and the author/performer didn't try to spice everything up with over acted voices. It flowed evenly and didn't rush. I found the only real issue was with some of the reality based locations and the portrayal of them... inaccurate. Otherwise I found it a very good listen. Hope to see another.

intrigue and suspense…

What a great change from my usual mystery novels! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and had twists and turns and every page. The reader was excellent I highly recommend this book for everyone. The only problem I had is sometimes the book we change chapters on its own and then just when I got comfortable it wouldn't change chapters and I would have to do it myself. What was up with that? Againit was an excellent book and I would highly recommend it even if I did have to change the page myself LOL

Amazing

A uniquely brilliant book. I have not heard or read anything like this before. It really is brilliant and well constructed. Keeps you guessing what's going to happen right until the end. Lots of red herrings until you find out who it is. I have never picked a favourite character from a book before and I like all these. But the one that stands out is Jack! Funny and sometimes insightful! I loved it! Will be looking out for more. The narration and voices are brilliant

I thought several times I have it figured out, it will end in a few minutes (there being no pages in a recording, can't judge by how thick the "pages left" are. It did not get too long, just tI'mhe ego shattering discovery that I had my plot sniffing skills thwarted seven or eight times.

Elliot, Connie, and Clay, Thank you guys so much for your support! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the audio! Dan, as always, you make my day with your constant updates. I'm afraid of when you get to the end and there isn't any more material for you to comment on...I guess ...

I just finished the book today! Here's the review I posted on Amazon and will soon post everywhere else: This book dragged me into its world and then slowly unraveled it's weird mysteries, pulling me along all the while with little character quirks and jokes that cracked me up. It ...
