Brett Miller
there seems to be a rule that says the second installment of a trilogy has to be dark. Its an unnecessary rule. The author also seems to not understand that pronouns exists for a reason. Often times we hear "Alex" ten times in a row when a simple "he" would work. Also, sometimes extra words are thrown in for no good reason. "each member of the rangers" as opposed to "each ranger". All that said, it is a sound story with an interesting take on how a multiverse would work.
Decent follow on from book 1

Very similar in all aspects to book one. A decent read that is delivered in an okay fashion. Yes it is a bit flat at times and when you arrive at the pivotal point in the story, it is very quickly brushed over. Even so, worth a listen

Great second book in the series. I have really enjoyed this series and hope Mr. Tuttle finishes his Podiobooks with the third book. I can hardly wait for it to follow this one. Some of the tactics in the war felt sort of slow and difficult to understand...no maps in an ...

Donna, thank you for the warm comments. I am pleased that you enjoyed Dark Quest. You are correct that Dark Quest does not stand alone well. It is not intended to, which is why I mark it clearly as Book Two of the Targa Trilogy. My character development is intentionally ...

I think this is a good trilogy for pre-teens as an introduction to the fantasy genre. The ideas in this series (I've listened to the whole trilogy) are really quite good, and young readers would not be over-whelmed by language or content. As an adult reader, it was missing much ...
Great sequel
Seven Archers
A decent sequel to the first book in this trilogy. The story has plenty of twists and turns that keep you guessing, and ends with the typical "happy ending". The author, as in the previous book, does a fine job of reading. Thank you LibriVox

Author has good imagination, and a little better reading style than in #1. Wish plots were a little more complex, but it's good for a casual listen.
