Chilling and well acted.

This little gem is well worth a listen. An original alien invasion and survival tale from the author of Day Of The Triffids. Very well acted and truly chilling. There is some actual chemistry between the main caractors and Wyndham's writing really shines in this exellent Canadian production. Though done in 1965 this radio drama is as fresh as if it was done yesterday.

Wonderful Invasion Tale.

Great production values on this extra-terrestrial invasion story. The sound is a little too bass (needs more treble for sound definition) and there is a volume reduction of about 30 seconds during the last couple of minutes of the summing up at the end of Chapter 5 (the final chapter). Otherwise, great pacing and escalation of the complications and dangers inherent in reacting to the invasion. Well done for as limited as the studio technology was at the time. Bravo !

Enjoyable. Condensing the whole story into two and a half hours is a little extreme, but most of the key points are made. The voice acting and sound effects are very good. Some variable audio quality, particularly in volume towards the end of part 5.

Enjoyable listening

There were some gliches in the recording but over all well worth listening to.

The story is rife with "fuzzy red balls" and "giant misles" and of course, a "crack in..." Hmmmm. Methinks someone needs analysis.
