One World Flight - Single Episodes


One World Flight is a documentary series that aired on CBS radio, consisting of 13 episodes from January 14 to April 8, 1947. Produced by Norman Corwin, the series was a significant contribution to public understanding of the world post-World War II, featuring interviews with heads of state and everyday people across 16 countries.

Corwin's journey, which began in June 1947, lasted four months and covered 42,000 miles, resulting in 100 hours of recorded interviews and a transcript of 3,700 typed pages. The series aimed to heal the wounds of war and promote international cooperation.

The One World Award, established in honor of Wendell Willkie, recognized Corwin as its first recipient in 1946. This award has honored many notable figures, including Albert Einstein and John Huston.
