Moon Over Africa is a captivating 15-minute syndicated serial that follows the adventures of Professor Anton Edwards as he embarks on a quest to find Atlantis in the depths of Africa. Accompanying him on this unusual journey are his daughter, fiancée, and a preserved human head, making for a truly unique adventure.
Originally broadcast between 1935 and 1938, the series may have roots in South Africa, though it remains uncertain if it was aired in the United States. Talbot Mundy, known for his work on other serials such as Jack Armstrong, Lost Empire, and Ghost Corps, wrote the series script.

This well written, but sparse on sound effects, adventure serial sometimes shows a dated and decidely ugly view of African natives. This ancient attitude aside, "Moon over Africa" is a thrilling adventure replete with dangerous wild animals, many twists and turns through the jungle, and a thoughtful recap at the beginning of each 10-12 minute episode. [This radio program could very easily be used as a college drinking game, simply by taking a drink every time a character says, "Good Lord!" or "Heavens!" (which is very often...)]
