In the late '30's Orson and H.G. Wells happened to be here in San Antonio at the same time and spent well over an hour on KTSA discussing everything from Orson's version of H.G.'s "War Of The Worlds" to the storm clouds of WW2 starting to form. Of course it was recorded. The only place I've heard it is te the Radio&TV Museum in New York. It is a fascinating piece! Having been in broadcasting over 35 years I've heard and aired the original..as well as doing our own version with disclaimers!..great fun on WOAI at 50,000 watts night time it was heard over most of North America.

An Very Original Take on a Very Groundbreaking Recording

I downloaded this last October, as I am a great fan of all things "War of The Worlds" related. For a experimental music mix, I really enjoyed the matching of the music with excerpts from the 1938 Mercury Theater on The Air. I would love for Mike Tucker to go back and complete a longer version of this incorporating the full broadcast. How about it, Mike?

Thank you all...

Wow.. now that would be something, to go and mix up the full broadcast! Maybe do something live and the record it? I don't know. I'm glad to see people liking this expermential thing.. that I've had now for years and years as a improv mix when I did parties back in to day. This version is some years old now as well.

Music was fine but too loud at times, I couldn't hear what they were saying during those moments. Thank you. I have been waiting to hear this my whole 43 years! :-)

Nice.....
