Jennings' Little Hut is a delightful story that follows Jennings and his friend Darbishire as they embark on a series of whimsical adventures. From building a hut by the pond to taking a goldfish for a walk, their antics lead to a memorable afternoon filled with laughter and mishaps.

As they sail their home-made yacht 'The Revenge' on an illicit visit to the pond, Jennings finds himself in a bit of trouble when he falls in. The story also features Darbishire's unforgettable moment in an inter-house cricket match, making it a charming tale for listeners of all ages.

Packs a lot into his little hut

I always enjoyed reading the Jennings books growing so it was a delightful surprise to discover an abridged version in audio of the third book in the series and one of the best I think, capturing Anthony Buckeridge's masterpiece of comic misunderstandings, corkscrew schoolboy logic and memorable characters, masters and pupils at Linbury Prep School. The plot revolves around a group of huts built by the boys on school land, an errat goldfish and the misguided attempts to impress an illustrious ex-scholar. Needless to say events rarely go according to plan but much hilarity ensues too. A fun reminder of earlier times.
