Blackstone -The Magic Detective
Walter B. Gibson et Nancy Webb
Starring Edwin Jerome as "the world's greatest living magician," this radio series was based on the real-life magician Harry Blackstone, Sr. The series was announced by Don Hancock from October 1948 through June 1949, and Alan Kent from July 1949 until the end of the series in March 1950.
The background organ music was supplied by Bill Meeder. The scripts were primarily written by Walter B. Gibson, the ghostwriter of Blackstone's books, and Nancy Webb, who collaborated with Gibson on Chick Carter, Boy Detective.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.

Critiques
Lightly entertaining. Fun magic tricks.

Well acted. Each little story has instructions at the end for a little magic trick or mind twister to perform for entertaining others. The words are easy to understand, but the accompanying organ music is a bit annoying due to static.
