The Man Called X

While the series is good MANY of the episodes are repeated under different titles, some more than once. Just makes listening a bit tricker, and I wonder how much I've missed.

Herbert Marshall

. . . Herbert Marshall was a leading man (and a ladies man) in the early days of Hollywood. He was not only a great film actor, but became an excellent voice actor. In addition to his own series here, he appeared in 13 episodes of Suspense, including the pilot episode (directed by Alfred Hitchcock) He was a favorite of Alfred Hitchcock, and did several episodes of Hitchcock's TV series. Losing a leg in WWI, Marshall worked incredibly hard learning to walk without a noticable limp, and he supported various non-profit organisations for amputees. Marshall stayed busy his entire life, and during the 1950's 1960's, and 70's you'll see him in a LOT of B movies. Marshall made frequent guest appearances on TV shows, such as "I've got a secret" and "What's my line." Make the effort to listen to him in the "Suspense" episodes he did. They are among my favorites, because he is such a fine actor. His series right here is fun to listen to, there's plenty of comic relief and the tales are not "to deep." -Charlie Stuckey
