This historical reminiscence is biographical in nature, delving into the works and lives well over 100 literary figures who have defined American Literature. Over the course of nearly three centuries, these leaders have shaped and molded the literary fields of Theology, Poetry, Fiction, Romance and Idealism. This composition is chronologically ordered and cyclically organized, wherein each section begins with distinct opinions, followed by lists of works along with their corresponding dates of publication, wrapping back around with a thoroughly descriptive analysis of the person or topic at hand. Admittedly, while listening to this composition, the staccato of ideas often lost my attention. However, there are two sections in this book which held me encapsulated with interest. The first section which I highly recommend which details the life and works of Ralph Waldo Emerson, which is shines a heart-warming light onto the character and drive of this man. The final section which I can recommend to the ...
