I like the story very interesting me and my best friend listen to it Janie thought it was all right but I thought it was great certain characters I could picture very well like Duvall and Ruth Morton and crazy maniac lady as well as the monkey Poor monkey he had to die😢 otherwise great story really liked it you should listen to it
predictable

I found this book great in the beginning but then became predictable as the story progressed. A few of the readers voices were annoying and I wasn't a fan of the detectives voice. It was a let down for me after a promising start which did get my imagination going.
Lightweight But Entertaining

This is fluff from the early part of the century -- but interesting since it depicts a film studio in New York circa 1915, and the first flowering of the movie star culture. A decent listen for a long trip, but very few surprises along the way.
Nice book. Very good readers in general.

The intonation of the detective was irritatingly unnatural, but it was clearly read all the same. The book itself wasn't great but enjoyable. Good listening for spare time. Great job and thank you all very much.
A tale of whose doing it!

Nice little dramatic reading and a very good mystery. Really enjoyed it. Thanks to all the LibVibox volunteers for a great job. Well worth lending a ear to.
Good detective story

For the writing, I wondered why what Grace overheard when bound wasn't mentioned. Love dramatic readings and readers. Chuck was as arrogant as any Sherlock voice I've ever heard, lol.
well done by all

narration was exellant. acting was pretty good. Duvall's voice had me picture him as escentric. story was capturing. recording among the voices was even and clear.

I enjoyed the story. I didn't like the actor's reading of the inspector. He sounded creepy and unreal. it would have been more realistic with an older actor.
