Square Deal Sanderson
Gelesen von Tom Penn
Charles Alden Seltzer
When old man Bransford died, he had a highly desirable ranch, a highly desirable 19-year-old daughter, and a sorry excuse of a son off somewhere in Arizona. He left the ranch to the son — what else could he do? — but it was the daughter who took over running the place. And now she needs help, because a lowdown skunk of a neighbor wants it, and won’t think twice about what he has to do to get it.
Square Deal Sanderson didn’t know what was going on when he rode up to the ranch in search of a job. What he did know was that a big bully of a brute was about to hang a man he claimed was a rustler, and the pretty girl who must be the daughter insisted that same man be set free. So, Sanderson decided to interfere. And that’s when life got complicated. (summary by Tom Penn) (8 hr 3 min)

Not your typical Western
Linda in PNW
Perfect reader. This story shows a picture of the mostly lawless West without hiding the unpleasantness. Thrown into the mix are ruthless, money hungry bad guys, vulnerable women, and save-the-day heroes. A good listen.
Marigold
Well. That was violent. And full of men grinning felinely as they contemplated the next murder.
