Thomas Clarkson
Thomas Clarkson was one of the most influential abolitionists in England leading up the passage the Slavery Abolition Act in 1823. He wrote extensively on the history of the abolitionist movement. In this volume, Clarkson focuses on the commercial aspects of the slave trade, divided into three sections -- The History of Slavery, The African Commerce or Slave Trade, and The Slavery of Africans in the European Colonies.
