08-30-2020 13th Sunday After Pentecost, Prelude, Readings and Sermon at St. Mar…
David Doiron
The audio extracted from what should be the last Facebook Live video of Rev. Brian’s 9 AM morning prayer service. The weather was great, except for the wind gusts that compromised the recording quality. The Drive-In service was held under the tree in the parking lot. Because of restrictions on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic there was no Communion, thus the prayer service rather than the usual Eucharistic Service using Rite I or Rite II. Music Director Charles Houmard played the piano and organ. UConn student Angela Garcia-Clark sang. Prelude: Every Valley Needs A Lily (Composer: Robert Lowry Arranger: Stacey Nordmeyer Author: Joseph M. Martin) Greeting, Announcements (Rev. Brian Blayer) Lesson 1: Jeremy 15:15-21 (Rev. Brian Blayer) Lesson 2 (Gospel): Matthew 16: 21-28 (Rev. Brian Blayer) Sermon (Rev. Brian Blayer) Audio Recording of Entire Service PDF version of the Service Booklet
