Sam In The Suburbs
Gelesen von Zach Hoyt
P. G. Wodehouse
A young and somewhat eccentric American named Sam Shotter is sent by his uncle, a wealthy businessman, to England to get him out of his hair. Sam's uncle sends him to work for Lord Tilbury's well known Mammoth Publishing Company, much against Lord Tilbury's better judgment. Sam accidentally comes to reside in Valley Fields, that peaceful suburb of milk and honey, where many complications of romantic, business, social and criminal natures ensue. This book also marks the first appearance of Chimp Twist, "a man so crooked he could hide behind a spiral staircase", and his (alternately) associates and rivals in misdoing, Dolly and Soapy Molloy. This book was published in England under the title Sam The Sudden. (Summary by Zach Hoyt) (6 hr 55 min)

Just a tip!

When you're listening to something, tap the thing on the lower right of your screen that shows the name and progress bar of the recording. Then, on that screen, there is a rabbit symbol in the top right. If the readers are too fast or too slow for your tastes, tap on the rabbit. Then, you can speed up or slow down the recordings! You're welcome! And if you found this useful, please mention that I gave this tip... thanks ;)
Fast paced, exciting, witty, mysterious & fun!

I find this to be an unnaturally speedy recording. I was able to slow down the pace and was quite happy with the narration. The story is a delight in many ways. The wit and imagination, the mystery and romance, all comes together for a rollicking good time.

This is a fun little romance. The reader should not try to do voices. The women’s voices were distracting and the men’s hard to follow. Too bad.
fun book and reader!
