' The March of the '45 ' First broadcast: Fri 28th Feb 1936, 20:30 on Regional Programme Scotland. The 28 February 1936 production was in two parts, one produced by The Scottish Region in Edinburgh. The script has been written by D. G. Bridson,   the 'feature programme expert of Manchester, and is largely drawn from documents, and listeners are to hear authentic Jacobite songs. Written By: D G. Bridson Produced By: Gordon Gildard The March of the 45 was a poetic radio play about the Jacobite Rising of 1745. It was created by D. G. Bridson and broadcast by the BBC in 1936. It was the first production in the verse play format especially produced for the radio, being followed by The Fall of the City which was broadcast by CBS in 1937.
