Shep recalls his Uncle's unique flair for interior design 2.) Shep recalls his " Old Man " being held up at the office during the depression-- by a gentleman thug, no less... 3.) Finally, " One Long Hot Summer " is a "festering" tale from Shep's college years. He takes an early radio job in Cincinnati. Most likely Shep's 1946/7 gig at WSAI in Cincinnati. (he also claimed to had been at WLW in Cincinnati during1953/54) It simply must be heard to be believed. It sounds like something straight out of Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" , but that film would come some 30 years after this broadcast! It's late-night Shep at his best.. .
