A Martian Odyssey & A Valley of Dreams
Gelesen von Phil Chenevert

The first of these stories was originally published in the July 1934 issue of Wonder Stories. It was followed four months later by a sequel, "Valley of Dreams" in the same magazine. These classic stories take us to Mars where we meet a Martian, or at least something very different from us, and several other completely original specimens of life. The Martian "Tweel" looks like an ostrich and the Egyptian god Osiris - for good reason, as you will find out if you listen to the story! These are both classic, funny, strange, entertaining, and, in my opinion, great stories by an imaginative master - summary by philc (2 hr 16 min)

A fun and entertaining sci-fi short.

The story was fun and entertaining, although both stories ended sort of abruptly, I wish they were longer. A good and fun read. Phil does a great job reading as usual, he's one of my favorite readers at LibriVox.

Beautiful, and beautifully narrated by Phil Chenevert. The only thing that threw me off a bit on the second story was the supposed "form of government" but it is, after all, science fiction.

Fulfilled exactly what I wanted from this kind of story. A quick, wistfully written Sci Fi story with great imagination. and an absolutely superb reader with immaculate clarity. A great escape.
