Some legends are true.

It is a myth out of history, spawned by Native American lore and the stories of Spanish Explorers. But what if the legends are true? Former Navy SEAL turned treasure hunter Uriah "Bones" Bonebrake sets off on his first solo adventure in this action-packed novella.

When television host Joanna Slater hires bones to help investigate one of Florida's oldest and best-known legends, their crew gets more than they bargained for. Mystery and thrills abound in PRIMITIVE!

Praise for David Wood and the Dane Maddock Adventures

“A non-stop thrill ride triple threat- smart, funny and mysterious.” Jeremy Robinson, author of Threshold

“David Wood has done it again. An expedition that leads down a trail of adventure and thrills.” David L. Golemon, Author of LEGACY, THE SUPERNATURALS, AND EVENT

“Ancient cave paintings? Cities of gold? Secret scrolls? Sign me up! A twisty tale of adventure and intrigue that never lets up and never lets go!” -Robert Masello, author of BESTIARY and BLOOD AND ICE

“Let there be no confusion: David Wood is the next Clive Cussler. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop until the last mystery plays out in the final line.” Edward G. Talbot, author of 2010: THE FIFTH WORLD

great story and I'm quite enjoying it. what I'm not enjoying is hearing about scribl.com,who the author is literally every 6 minutes! this has the shortest episodes of any podcast book ever. and while all that information is important it feels like I'm hearing more of that than the story. as a result the story doesn't seem to flow well and it's difficult to become immersed in it

Silly premise, cardboard characters

Lots of ads for Scribl.com, but based on this book, I wouldn’t waste my time going there to buy any books. The characters are stereotypes (big, tough, smart hero and beautiful woman, ignorant crackers), hero makes stale, 1950’s era remarks about women’s looks, ending is predictable. I gave it two stars only because the narrator is good.

This book could have easily gotten four stars, and yet... no. Unfortunate stereotypes, an unbelievable premise, those constant reminders about Scribl.com, and the shortest chapters known to humanity team up to absolutely ruin this audiobook for me. Shame, too... it clearly had some potential!

Idiotic waste of time

The premise and prologue appeared promising at first. What a disappointment. This joke reads like a bad graphic novel for preteens, the dialogue is the cheesiest I've heard and the narrative is rushed but thick with racial and gender fake stereotypes. Couldn't get pass chapter 4.

The story was really good. I would listen to a part two for sure....but, like others have said this narrator....the voice fits for some scenes but I feel as if he is narrating one of those crime scene shows or a horror movie trailer.

I've read the book, and it is very good, but the lengths for each chapter seem very short. i haven't downloaded them all yet, but I'm seeing Chapter 1 with a length of 7:35. Is this accurate? Is this abridged?

Good story. Chapters are a little short. I don't understand all the criticism in the reviews. Maybe because I'm a 6'5 Cherokee, I relate strongly to the lead character.

I liked the book. I thought the descriptions were particularly good. I wish the book was longer. Excellent ending. It felt like it was written by an experienced author.
