To end a war, nearly a thousand years ago a great warrior named Lachlan sought to unify his people, using the power of the Three Swords of Destiny. Before his victory, Lachlan was killed by his trusted friend, Allarun. Now, Allarun is still in power but haunted by dreams of Lachlan's death curse: that Lachlan would return to avenge his death. Allarun's decision is to destroy the very people Lachlan tried to unite. Only two men have the power to stop the slaughter. Romarin, the last of a line of kings, and a half-blood mercenary named Shadowhelm. One may be destined to be Lachlan, but can they unlock the secret to Lachlan's power before Allarun kills them? "Prophecy Of Swords is a remarkably rich fantasy that takes you into new realms of wonder and imagination. The battles and magic portrayed here full of excitement and intrigue. It's hard to find a good fantasy that isn't a rehash of all that has been done before, but Margaret H. Bonham has managed to break the mold and give readers something totally unique and different. A guaranteed winner." -- Laura J. Underwood, author of Ard Magister, Chronicles Of The Last War, and forthcoming Dragon's Tongue and Wandering Lark "In Prophecy Of Swords, Bonham has written an enjoyable and intriguing novel, filled with believable characters and a rich, satisfying plot. I look forward to the next book in the series with great anticipation." -- Karen E. Taylor, author of The Vampire Legacy series.

3 hours into the book
I thought the other reviews were being tough, but I now agree. One of the worst readings I've seen on here. Each episode is a little more than 20 minutes long, there is over 2 minutes of "chat" at the beginning of each episode and more than 3 minutes of "chat" at the end, with several music pauses throughout that are about 25 seconds long and are very loud. The author seems unfamiliar with her story and wording. She sounds like a 10 year old reading Sunday comics out loud. The story is her first and it shows; the writing and storyline are horrible; and she cannot handle more than 2 characters at a time. There's more wrong with it than this but I will keep it short.
ok book, not the best narration
it was a good book and I really did like it. the only problem was with the narrator, I have listened to a lot of audio books and this was the first one that really never changed her voice for any different character and that got confusing at times. Also the intro and outro is combined almost 5 to 6 minutes long and when chapters are only 15 minutes long if that it really really gets annoying. other than that I'm not trying to bash the book or anything like that because I did like it.

The story was great, however the reader must learn how a microphone works. She moves into, and away from the microphone so frequently there are completely lost chapters. Secondly the canned music's volume is so high, and occurs so frequently, that it will destroy speakers. Apparently punctuation is lost on her as well, and lastly the cheap voice effects would have been better left out.
Author talks too much!!!

I have just started listening to this book and am already HIGHLY annoyed by the author's insistance on recapping previous details in the beginning of chapters, thanking listeners and discussing her website at the end of every chapter, and the lengthy dramatic music at the beginning, end, and during chapters. Just shut up and tell the story!!! Not sure how much of this I can take.
she needs to learn to read punctuation better. also needs to learn how to enunciate. it took me 3 chapters to decide if the main character was called shadowhelm or shouhelm. the story might be good but I have a hard time getting passed the horrible reading and the fact the the music, advertising, and recap take up more of each chapter than the story itself.

OMG can this reading be more annoying? The story is interesting however it is difficult to believe the reader IS the author. And the commercial marketing and music every 5 seconds is ridiculous. I have spent half the time fast forwarding .. I will try to stick it out for this story but forget any future books/reading from this author !!!

First let me say the story is excellent. However it is truly let down by poor reading, a rediculous name for the lead character, and up to 10 minutes of non story chatter in a 15 minute chapter. This book is absolutely begging for a version 2 with a compitent reader and no extras begging for $$$ and website visitors
bad noise

the music is too loud, actual book reading is too quiet i either can't hear the reader or get blasted with music. intro to every 17 minute episode is too long at over 2 minutes saying the same thing every time. story seems interesting but i don't know if i can even finish with my ears hurting now
