Catherine is a 1500 year old vampire. (She’s really 1800 but she lies about her age.) Chris is a high school senior. She is a blood sucking creature of the night. He is a Jehovah’s Witness. Together they discover something that threatens the existence of every vampire, and the only solution is to break the One Law that binds them all.

Slow start, but improves

The start wasn’t very good and I almost gave up on it, but persisted. It becomes a half decent story about halfway through, but then quite quickly ends. Vampire stories have been done many times and so for such a story to be interesting, it has to have a different twist. This one has got that with Jehovah’s witnesses being involved, although it feels like the story could have made more of the situation. Perhaps the intention is that that will occur in the next book. Nothing groundbreaking here or memorable, but a decent listen nonetheless.
Very Good

As a big fan of audio book's and the vampire/horror genre i was very pleased to come across this little gem ive been so tired of the awful twilight style teen novels that have almost destroyed the vampire mythology in modern media this was a breath of fresh air to listen to not as epic in scale as the superb Underwood and Flinch by Mike Bennett but still a brilliant well written and enjoyable listen well worth your time A big thanks to the writer/reader for his hard work great stuff 5star's
Great little story
Wasn't expecting to be charmed by this at all. I felt it would be an 18 rated twilight but it was actually far from it. A good (well not exactly good as in saintly lol) traditional vampire set in a modern world. With the twist of religion thrown in your had no idea where it was going. I liked where it went
Stick with it.

This one surprised me. I wasn't sure if I was into the whole vampire and Jehovah witness thing but I stuck with it and really enjoyed it. I wonder if the author was a witness due to the accurate specific details regarding the witness life. I also loved the main character's final outcome.
Apologies!

This was a "hitt!" for me! (sorry I had to! That's what apologies meant!) A great story with some fun characters William and Carl made me laugh and Chris and Catherine are great creations. The bits with the bully are amusing and the narration was perfect! Hope to hear more.

I had loaded this into my ipod and was ready to do some chores one Sunday morning... when I happen to look out my front window and see a duo of strangers in their Sunday best making a beeline for my front door. And irony of ironies, yes, it was ...

I spotted this book a few times while looking for a good vampire story but I always skipped over it and kept looking because I didn't think I would be interested in reading about a vampire and a JW. I finally decided to at least listen to a few episodes ...

I am really not a fan of Vampire stories which is why this one caught my eye. I too thought that two such polar opposites would be interesting as a story line hook. The story over all was okay, there were a few parts where I almost felt like I ...
