Though Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is best known for his detective stories, he also wrote other short stories which are masterpieces of mystery and suspense. In some of the stories in "Tales of Terror and Mystery", a suppressed uneasiness gradually builds up and evolves into sheer terror. In others, the story line unexpectedly changes and comes to a horrific conclusion.

Sit back in the comfort of your armchair and let yourself be transported to the strange but compelling world created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Classic Conan Doyle!

(4.5 stars)

If you love Sherlock Holmes and the short stories of Edgar Allen Poe, you will surely enjoy this gut twisting collection. Conan Doyle gives us a selection of darker mysteries here as he delves into the sickness of men's minds, raising the hairs on your neck and leaving you with an uneasy feeling that lasts through the stories and beyond. Although some readers have mispronunciations or speak English with difficult accents, overall the performances are excellent. A Must Listen for Conan Doyle fans, and all who enjoy intelligent psychological horror tales!

Tales of Terror and Mystery - Arthur Conan Doyle

(4 stars)

A fun book of short tales, well read by various readers. There is an unmistakable referance to Sherlock Holmes in "The Lost Special".

GREAT COLLECTION

(4.5 stars)

An enjoyable collection of imaginative tales The ones of terror were pretty good, but the ones of mystery were tops. Doyle's fertile imagination will furnish a few hours of good listening. Thanks to the readers.

Great Read!

This dude is super good at writing short stories that are riveting in nature and fall well into the realm of science fiction. It is easy to see how this guy came to create such a great character such a Sherlock home. I believe he wrote another book called at the Earth's core which is also available on this app. Check it out

wonderful :-D

I enjoyed this book immensely, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys older horror stories. Doyle is a mix of Poe and Lovecraft 8)

incredibly well read. good job to the orator! Although I love the Sherlock Holmes series and find Doyle to be an excellent writer, I feel his talent for this genre is a bit lacking.

Excellent examples of the genre. Very well written and read with due atmospheric effect. The tales are thought provoking. Even though there are some readers who don't have English as a first language, this does not detract from the reading :)
