The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus

Read by Kristin LeMoine

(4.8 stars; 97 reviews)

This story of Santa Claus veers away slightly from the traditional stories of his beginnings. L. Frank Baum creates a world of fantasy that surrounds Santa Claus's life. Orphaned at an infant he is found by the nymph Necile, who convinces the great Ak to allow her to raise Claus for her own. As he grows older he meets his fellow humans, and sees the neglect of children. This sets him on the path to making toys and becoming the beloved Saint Nicholas we are familiar with today. So well written & the lady who narrated this tale did some excellent work. The bright chirpy voice pulled my spirit up. Santa Claus is such a busy man. But this guy knows how to delegate. Thats always the best way to keep any business in proper order. Whether its making photos, furniture, motorbike wheels or toys, proper teamwork is essential. Merry Christmas Santa! Merry Christmas Elves! And a special Merry Christmas to listener of this book.

Really good book

Such a good book, I love how it tells how come we have Christmas trees. Just adorable.

Delightful Tale

I found this book to be charming and interesting. "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" it is not. It also breaks with the famous poem. In many ways, it seems to be an allegory much like the Narnia stories. The recording was consistent and the reader held my interest.

have u seen the movie???

Amazing story! I loved it. Mr Baum made some of the best child books I read. His idea of how Santa Claus came about, and his life, are very nice. I love hearing different stories of Santa, since they are all unique. ❤️✌🏻Bai✌🏻❤️

Excellent reader! Love this original tale of Santa from 1902, brought to us by the same man who gave us the Land of Oz!
