In a united states country with self inflicted uneducated children & adults in every region, these free audio books must be openly available for the general public who enjoy teaching ourselves instead of relying on insufficient public education. Thank you Librivox... you are a hero among heros...

Very simple and logical concepts. It take some discipline to apply at first, but eventually comes naturally. I guess that's why he calls it the natural way.

This is very well read, which nobody seems to really notice. It is slightly outdated in some aspects (medical science has come a long way since 1900), but it is, overall a great guide to staying healthy. While it is probable that optimistic thinking doesn't do much for your health, don't be so quick to criticize; optimism can keep you far more confident than pessimism; and while it won't have an effect on your actual health, it will quite possibly make you feel considerably happier. Mr. Wallace Wattles, in addition to having a name which is really fun to say, was practically a practical-writing genius! I wonder what he would write were he alive today during this terrible COVID-19 pandemic...

You can’t turn the TV on or flip through a magazine without seeing an advertisement for a prescription drug. This book is the exact opposite of that. I love that the author tells you to stop reading doctor books and ignore anyone’s talk of ill health. This book has such a positive message in that you really don’t need special diets or special exercise or a cabinet full of supplements and prescription great drugs to have good health. All you need to do is be sensible with taking care of your body. Eat moderately, exercise moderately, sleep well and remember to breathe. It doesn’t get much simpler than that and it’s the same common sense that your grandma would’ve told you 100 years ago. Society needs more messages like this! My only comments on the narration are at one point I could hear papers rustling and a dog barking in the background. Overall it was very well done and the narrator has a pleasant reading voice.

Some things are true like breakfast is not crucial for being healthy, a from physiological perspective, there’s nothing special about eating early in the morninga and triggering weight loss. However someone cannot heal everything with good thoughts, nevertheless this book really helps to maintain a healthy and positive attitude which is of high value.

A good listen, and definitely a lot of Truth in here, but we need not reject science and common medical practice to be healthy. All of wattles books are excellent, but this one left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I still recommend it.

I have previously listened to The science of getting rich, and whilst that book sat well with me, this one was a complete failure. In a way, some of the things that were said made sense, however the rest was not to my liking. I do not appreciate "science" that excludes other sciences. Such a way of thinking seems more of a cult, something similar to today's "life coaches" and "creators". The book is immensely repetative and the author often uses hook sentences such as "perfectly healthy way" and "doing things in a certain way", which almost feels like a form of hypnosis. Outdated for sure, maybe it was applicable back in the times.

The science of being great: proper eating, breathing, good night sleep, exercising, and more. Short but worth the read. The reader had the PERFECT voice and pace for this recording. The volume was great and very clear for each and every word. Thabk you so much!
