Planet Man was an early 1950s syndicated juvenile science fiction serial. Its hero, Dantro, was an agent of the League of Planets, hailing from Planeris Rex, the headquarters of the League. This series was part of the science fiction craze, especially for kids, alongside programs like Tom Corbett, Space Cadet, and Space Patrol.

Adults enjoyed programs in the early 1950s such as Dimension X, Two Thousand Plus, and Tales of Tomorrow. Even series like Escape had some dalliance in science fiction. This program is akin to a kids' comic book, meant to be enjoyed with great fun and a sense of innocence.
