I love all things Charlie Chan... the movies... even the earliest silent movies and the later Peter Ustinov movie... the TV Show (J Carrol Nash) ... the animated TV show (Charlie Chan and the Chan Clan)... and the radio shows. There is a podcast on Apple that has MANY of the Charlie Chan Radio Shows ... also on YouTube. Thank you for posting this good examples of the radio show!

Never mind why Chan, supposedly born in San Francisco's Chinatown, speaks English like an (illegal?) immigrant--why he sounds as if he is expiring on his deathbed--where he picked up the use of "same" as a pronoun--why his son has an Australian accent--whether those are genuine Chinese proverbs he imparts. Charlie Chan is simply irresistible. Somebody please find more episodes!
The actor playing Chan is almost unitelligable!

In order for me to like a radio drama, I first have to understand what the lead is saying! I can't in this show.
it's been a long time since I've heard Charlie Chan, wish there
