the best reading yet!

(5 Sterne)

I've often found contentment, and occasional pleasure with the readings of librivox volunteers, this is the first reading that i've been thoroughly impressed with. the reader does NOT start every sentence with the same rising, listing tone (all too common). this man actually takes care to etch each character and impress each scene. it becomes clear very quickly that the reader is interested enough to intrest the listener. refreshing!

Fascinating Stories

(5 Sterne)

These stories are wonderful, written more than a century ago, yet thrill and delight the listener of today. The LibriVox Volunteer, Bob Neufeld is a treasure. His voice is soothing, creepy, humorous, tender, stern, academic, even romantic. He is multitalented and I am so very grateful to have found him here, on LibriVox.

THE Narrator Bob Neufeld

(5 Sterne)

is the best of Readers, because he has great modulation and of course the stories are fine.

Classic Greatness

(5 Sterne)

There are few who can match Hawthorne's weaving of scene and word! Modern writers pale in comparison. Likewise, the perfect vocal skill of Mr. Nuefeld bring to life the visions recorded in this book. There could be no better reader for the tales of Nathaniel Hawthorne!

interesting variety

thanks loads for sharing your time and talents Bob!!

Talented narrator

The superb narrator brings this audio book to life.

Narrator is hands down the best I have heard. Anywhere.

Excelente lectura de Bob Neufeld, uno de mis lectores favoritos. Las tres estrellas son para el libro en si, la mayoría de las historias son aburridas, o te dan un sermón, hay dos que vale la pena destacar solamente.
