This is NOT science. The author does not cite any scientific research to back his claims and asks you to have unconditional faith in them. He even goes so far as to say that you shouldn’t even expose yourselves to ideas that contradict his views! On a positive note, the book is quite entertaining if you don’t take it too seriously. It is a good example of new thought beliefs for those who are curious about that. The narrator did a great job. Some of the ideas contained inside really are interesting, and might provide you with insight and out of the box thinking. Also, one has to consider that the author died the next year after publishing this book. If his ideas about the power of the mind were right, they were not very effective in preventing his illness and death! Yet, he very authoritatively says in the book that illnesses and poverty are caused by wrong thinking...

Really enjoyed this book

I'm really enjoying this book, the naming conventions, the short examples that give life to the chapters. I also enjoy the sense of maturity in which it is written.

thought provoking

I love this way of thinking. Read the book many years ago... listened to the book on here a few years ago & now, again listening to it. I find it very enjoyable & positive. I also find the reader to be very enjoyable to listen to...she has wonderful pronunciation, a lovely accent & she seems into the text she is reading.

The Cult of Getting Rich

Ch 4 and after goes from odd too off the deep end. Do not listen to anyone that contradicts me! Take what I say without evidence! Corrupt politicians can't be &/or stay in power because God won't allow it! Thinking about poverty, disease, and sin is what causes it! This is "SCIENCE" Cult of Delusion

Very Enlightening

Incredibly modern for have been written over 100 years ago. A quick listen, easily digested, I am going to implement his message today. I would recommend it to anyone. It's amazing how many modern self-help books are derivative of this book, if not cut and paste. Read and start thinking that "certain way".

interesting

I have heard similar advice before. It's primarily about positive thinking and how if we think success we have a tendency to find it and if you think failure you also will find it. Basically, its about self-fulfilling prophecy, in a sense. It sounds very similar to the modern "prosperity theology" movement.
