nice collection but i can't say I enjoyed all the stories. the signal man and the tell tale heart are pure masterpieces! I can also recommend the cobweb, keeping his promise and the severed hand as sufficiently spooky and/or interesting to listen to. The reader is fantastic

There are some great stories in this collection.. some I'd heard before, some for the 1st time. most are very fun spine tinglers. A few stories seem to possess a rambling quality; a couple are just winding 'round & 'round w/ disappointing ends; a few ramblers, though, come to terrific conclusions. There are some Readers who read well, but the sound quality made it difficult to listen to; a couple Readers either read too quickly, or need to reign in the "dramatic" reading effects. Mr. Crasto is a perfect Reader as usual, and it is so incredible that he Reads the majority of this collection. I'm beginning to feel like I'd be happy listening to him read the ingredients of a box of saltine crackers. Thank you again to Librivox, and to all the Readers.. and especially thank you, Mr. Crasto.

Worth listening again.

I enjoyed the whole audiobook but what really grabbed me was The Water Ghost of Harrowby Hall (Or something like that). The narration was superb and the book spooky. I definetely recommend that you listen to it. All the other ones are great too. Definetely worth listening again. If you want scares and thrills read this audiobook. I did nor give it 5 stars because one of the narrators had a strong accent of Spanish or something and I couldn't decipher the words. Any way it's great so please listen to it.

Fantastic
