Uncontrolled, terribly violent Atomic Vortices are slowly destroying civilization on every human planet throughout the galaxy. Nothing can contain or stop them despite the lensmen's best efforts until one destroys the home and family of "Storm" Cloud, brilliant atomic physicist. This story really is more of a start than a story. I wish the author had made it longer. I listened to it 2x to make sure I didn't miss anything, and it just didn't have enough substance to it. Phil did an excellent reading tho. Thanks Phil!

when i first read this story, it was the later, far more detailed version. This version is the original short story and for its time it was ok. I look forward with interest to the inclusion of the later, fuller version at some future date. PLEASE

I personally liked the story, not his best but not bad, and I also think Phil does a great job as usual. I think his voice suits sci-fi stories perfectly!

The title is more exciting than the story.

Interesting old-school sci-fi short story. I particularly liked the pretext for the story; the challenge of overcoming a natural phenomenon greater than a simple storm.
