The Incarceration Of Hubert Gray
Shaun Prendergast
In a newly privatised prison of the future, crooked financier Hubert Gray finds himself in a cell with the child murderer Davies, played by the author himself. This gripping tale unfolds in the Saturday-Night Theatre production of 'The Incarceration of Hubert Gray'.
Directed by Adrian Bean, the cast includes Nigel Anthony as Hubert Gray, Shaun Prendergast as Davies, Geraldine Fitzgerald as Chubb, and David Thorpe as Phillp Anthony Skaggs. Tune in for a thought-provoking exploration of morality and justice.

The Incarceration Of Hubert Gray by S. Prendergast
trevurr
This is one of my favourite appearances in BBC radio drama by Mr Nigel Anthony - here playing against the work's author, Mr Shaun Prendergast who is equally good & unnerving. The characters all have distinct voices which makes for easy listening. Davies, (played by Prendergast) is so intriguing he could be the subject of a series of plays from his childhood on.. For me the conclusion is both frustrating and inevitable. Nigel Anthony is a prolific radio performer; I particularly recommend his version of 'Time After Tim'e by Gerry Jones - I think - and 'The Fruit At the Bottom Of The Bowl' a short story by Ray Bradbury.
