Comedy With The Brits. - No 7
Comedy With The Brits is a delightful radio comedy program that aired from 1958 to 1964. It served as the predecessor to the well-loved Round the Horne (1965–68). Both shows featured a talented cast including Kenneth Horne, Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Betty Marsden, and Bill Pertwee, with Douglas Smith as the announcer. The musical accompaniment was provided by the BBC Revue Orchestra.
The title is a clever pun on the name Kenneth, playing on the expression 'beyond our ken,' where 'ken' refers to knowledge or perception, particularly in Northern English and Scots dialects.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
