The Mysterious Traveler-The Good Die Young (Mutual, 27 February 1944)
Bob Arthur and David Kogan
Read by Maurice Tarplin
A girl losing a stern but faithful housekeeper is bent on poisoning her doting, widowed father's love-at-first-sight remarriage, no matter how patiently the new wife tries to handle the suddenly brattish teen until her brief disappearance and a subsequent illness.
It’s a soapish and occasionally melodramatic variant on the ancient theme of 'If I can’t have him, nobody can,' with more than a few hints at a prototype of The Bad Seed, but it does have a few good moments.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
