wonderful stories for children

(5 stars)

Light-hearted stories for children about Uncle Wiggily, the bunny uncle, whose biggest priorities, when not getting out of occasional tough scrapes, were to make the best of every situation, help his animal friends and neighbors large and small, and do good. To him, every day and every event was an adventure. (Not to be confused with the pre-Civil War stories of Uncle Remus by Harris!)

Racist attitude may put some off

(2 stars)

Time period is pre Civil War and attitude of characters especially in the story The Adopted Daughter where a slave owner salivated over inheriting a mixed race slave women.
