Epic Case Book Of Inspector Carr

(4.5 stars; 34 reviews)

The Epic Casebook Of Inspector Carr is a highly successful detective series that features the investigations of Inspector Carr, originally aired from 1956 to 1985. The series starred Hugh Rouse as Inspector Carr, who took over the role from Don Davis in 1959. Don Davis returned briefly in 1963 for 14 episodes, but it was Hugh Rouse who truly made the character his own.

Written and produced by Michael Silver at the CRC Studios in Johannesburg, the show was broadcast on Thursday evenings at 21H30, sponsored by the Epic Oil Company of S.A. A short-lived television adaptation was made by the SABC in the early 1980s, featuring Michael McCabe as Inspector Carr, but it was met with disappointment.

Blasts of fresh air - even though from three quarters of a century ago! Great stuff! Enjoy.

Additional Episodes

There is a torrent on the pirate called 'The Inspectors' with 51 episodes total. Be careful though, not everything in this torrent is in the public domain

Still brilliant even after all this time
